Ten segments: the prologue, Chapters 1 through 8, and the Finale.

That is the original SC framework.

One thing to remember: the remake rearranged the order you visit regions. Same places, different sequence. An original SC walkthrough cannot be followed chapter for chapter.

The prologue and Chapter 1 are already open in the demo. About ten hours, and the save carries over.

The chapter skeleton

SegmentTitle
PrologueA Young Girl’s Decision (originally A Maiden’s Resolve)
Chapter 1A Looming Shadow (originally Sneaking Shadows)
Chapter 2The Raging Land
Chapter 3The Mad Tea Party
Chapter 4The Mist Demon’s Target
Chapter 5That Which One Must Protect
Chapter 6The Whereabouts of Bonds
Chapter 7The Tetracyclic Towers
Chapter 8Land of Chaos
FinaleTrails in the Sky

The prologue and Chapter 1 titles have an official source: the demo page uses those two names.

The Chapter 2 through Finale titles come from a community wiki’s record of the original structure. Whether the remake reuses them is not in any official list, so this site does not state them as fact.

The shape of the run

Prologue and Chapter 1: Estelle is pulled into events during her training period and the main story starts. These two segments are exactly what the demo covers.

The middle: each chapter centres on one region while advancing Bracer work and the Ouroboros thread.

Before the Finale: a mandatory backtrack through earlier locations.

This is the slowest stretch in the game. IGN’s review says the game requires you to revisit old locations before the Finale, and that previously unlocked fast travel points reset and must be reactivated. IGN calls it “a slog.”

Knowing it is coming makes it easier to take.

Bracer quests and BP

Take jobs at the Bracer Guild and complete them for Bracer Points, which raise your Bracer rank and pay out rewards.

RPGFan notes you will “frequently backtrack for main plot progression and your standard Bracer Guild side quests.”

The good news is that the remake added fast travel. Noisy Pixel says it removes the tedious walking the original was known for.

What to do at the start of every chapter

  1. Check the quest board first. Pick up the chapter’s Bracer jobs before pushing the main story.
  2. Top up gear and consumables. Buy food and medicine in town before heading out.
  3. Confirm your party. The roster rotates, and swapping members means re-sorting Orbment quartz.
  4. Check your fast travel points. Especially before the pre-Finale stretch, where points reset.
  5. Save before long story scenes. Some content cannot be revisited once the story moves on.

Spotting missable content

One-time side quests: Bracer jobs are usually chapter-bound. Once the story advances, they are gone. Clear the board before pushing the main story.

Timed regions: some places become temporarily inaccessible as the plot advances. When you see a “come back later” hint, clear what you can in the current area first.

Whether you missed something: there is no official per-chapter missables list. The practical approach is saving at the start and end of each chapter, and clearing every job on the board first.

Whether it can be recovered: the publisher has not described job re-acquisition rules, so this site does not promise recovery.

What the demo lets you practise

The demo covers the prologue and Chapter 1, about ten hours, with a save that carries over.

It is enough to get three things down: how Quick Battle hands into Command Battle, how Bracer jobs work, and how to set up your party and Orbment.

The first two chapters of the full game then follow the same rhythm.

What this page does not cover

No specific quest names, enemy setups, or room-by-room routes. There is no official per-quest list, and the community lists have no official equivalent, so this site does not reproduce them.

No complete list of the remake’s new side quests. Same reason.

No spoilers. Only the structural information you need to sequence your play.
