Where to Buy Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter: Every Retailer by Region
North American retailers, who handles Europe, the Asia-Pacific physical situation, and how to tell whether physical copies are still in stock.
Launch day is here, so preorders are finished. This is now a straight purchase.
The Steam version is digital only, with no physical release.
If you want a box on a shelf, it has to be a console version.
North American retailers
The retailers named in GungHo’s two announcements:
| Retailer | Format |
|---|---|
| Amazon | Physical |
| Video Games Plus | Physical |
| Best Buy | Physical |
| Walmart | Physical |
| Target | Physical |
| GameStop | Physical |
| PANAX (store.panaxgames.com) | Exclusive official channel for the SteelBook Edition and the collector set |
| Steam | Digital |
| PlayStation Store | Digital |
| Nintendo eShop | Digital |
PANAX is operated by PM Studios. The publisher’s announcement describes it as the exclusive channel for the SteelBook Edition and the collector set, so do not go looking for those two anywhere else.
Europe
Distribution is handled by PM Studios, with preorders through select retailers.
The publisher did not list European retailers by name, and this site will not fill in the gaps.
Asia-Pacific and elsewhere
Australia and New Zealand: r/Falcom has threads showing local physical preorders opening. This time it was not only EB Games; JB Hi-Fi carried it too. EB Games Australia does have a matching product page.
That is player reporting rather than a publisher announcement.
Japan: published by Nihon Falcom itself, at falcom.co.jp/sora2/. Japanese physical and digital preorder bonuses differ from the Western ones.
Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean regions: handled by Clouded Leopard Entertainment, with its own language portals on the official site.
The timeline
Collector’s edition and SteelBook Edition preorders opened on February 24, 2026, with the collector window closing on March 8.
Standard edition physical preorders opened on March 12, 2026. The announcement named Amazon and Video Games Plus first, with other retailers joining afterward.
So if you could not find a standard edition physical preorder before March 12, that was not a shortage. It simply had not opened yet.
“Not listed yet” is not the same as “unavailable”
Physical channels keep restocking after launch, especially outside the first batch.
The way to check is simple: look at the retailer’s stock status, not whether the item still appears under a Preorder heading.
An empty preorder section does not mean the product is delisted.
Digital versus physical
Digital (Steam, PS Store, eShop): playable from your store page’s local unlock time. On Switch and PS5 you can also start with the demo and carry that save across, so no progress is wasted.
Physical: arrival time depends on the retailer. The collector edition is explicitly produced on a rolling basis, so later orders ship after launch.
Retailers left out on purpose
Three names come up often in searches: Limited Run Games, Clear River Games, and Instant Gaming.
None of the three turned up a publisher partnership announcement or an official product page for this game in this pass.
This site therefore does not list them as confirmed channels.
Key resellers vary in price and regional availability. This site neither recommends nor endorses them.
